Warren Cannon was appointed to serve on the Aurora Housing Authority (AHA) Board of Commissioners on October 15, 1991.  During his 18 year tenure, Mr. Cannon worked diligently to improve the lives of all AHA clients.

In honor of Mr. Cannon’s dedicated service to the AHA, its residents and his life long commitment to the entire Aurora Community, the Board of Commissioners unanimously passed Resolution 10-09 on March 24, 2010 renaming the Eastwood Community Center to the Warren Cannon Community Outreach Center.

A dedication ceremony was held on May 26, 2010 at the Center at 1644 Northeast Dr., Aurora, IL.  Mr. Cannon’s family, colleagues, local officials, friends and staff of the AHA were in attendance to celebrate both his life and his many accomplishments.
